Kingsoft, better known for its dictionary and security software solutions, has released Kingsoft Office 2012 Beta version. The latest version of Kingsoft’s alternative to Microsoft Office similarly consists of Kingsoft Writer, Presentation and Spreadsheet. The English language version follows the earlier release of Japanese and English versions.

The key upgrade for Kingsoft Office 2012 is the Microsoft Ribbon Interface; users can chose to use the old style Interface or the new Ribbon Interface. In addition operation is much faster when compared to previous versions, upto ten times quicker. What’s more the installation file size has been reduced.

Kingsoft Office continues to be one of very few serious alternatives to Microsoft with currently more than 10 million active users worldwide.
